JMU students recognized

Several Suffolk students were honored by James Madison University recently for graduating or making the president’s or dean’s list during the spring semester.
To qualify for the president’s list, a student must carry a semester course load of 12 graded credit hours or more and earn a grade point average of 3.9 or above.
To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must carry a semester course load of 12 graded credit hours or more and earn a grade point average of 3.5 to 3.899.
Those who graduated were Kristopher Ahlsted, of Suffolk; Renee Doussard, of Suffolk; Renee Doussard, of Suffolk; Avery Pittman, of Suffolk (cum laude); Michael Rawls, of Suffolk; Jenna Robb, of Suffolk; Stephanie Straub, of Suffolk; Sterling Taylor, of Suffolk.
Those who earned president’s list honors were Cory Bridger, of Suffolk; Sarah Stacy, of Suffolk; Bradley Watahovich, of Suffolk; Skylar White, of Suffolk.
Those who earned dean’s list honors were Richard Asbell, of Suffolk; Andrea Atkinson, of Suffolk; Jesse Cox, of Suffolk; Amanda George, of Suffolk; Donald Hoskins, of Suffolk; Miseon Lee, of Suffolk; Sadie O’Connor, of Suffolk; Jessica Overton, of Suffolk; Avery Pittman, of Suffolk; Meghan Rader, of Suffolk; Jenna Robb, of Suffolk; Kirkman Rountree, of Suffolk; Ericka Welsh, of Suffolk.
