SUFFOLK — Andrew Jackson Holland Jr. wore many hats and went by many names. He was “Buddy” to his parents, Jack and Kathryn, as well as to his siblings and their spouses, Martha Ann and Stanley, Gary and Pat, and Larry. He was known as “Jack” to his friends and “Roller Skate” to his hunting buddies. “Daddy” was the name given by his children and their spouses, Drew and Lisa, Terry and Jess, Matthew and Rickell, and Heather and Chris. To Josh, Jordan, McKenna, Kellyn, Rylan and Brandon, he was “Grandaddy.” Jack was deeply loved by his wife, Frances, and is at peace with the world today. Jack was the face of true courage. Through pain and adversity, he always had a smile on his face and a kind word for all. He loved his family, friends, music, baseball, hunting, fishing, gardening and all things that a country boy would love.

He was a Past Master of McAllister Masonic Lodge 185, Somerton Hunt Club, Gates Hunt Club, Master Gardener Club, a lifetime member of Holland Volunteer Fire Department and Sons of Confederacy, Box Elder Hunt Club and a member of Holy Neck Christian Church. He was a graduate of Ferrum College, state champion Judo brown-belt in 1967 and Little League coach at Holland Athletic Association.
