Suffolk police have warrants on file for a man accused of assaulting his wife and then leaving their two young children home alone.

Police are seeking Elvis Lee Manley, 41, of the 4800 block of Mineral Spring Road.

According to city spokeswoman Debbie George, the incident occurred on Wednesday about 10:30 p.m. Manley allegedly “assaulted his wife pretty significantly,” George said.

She fled the home and contacted police. When officers arrived at the house, they found that Manley had left as well, leaving two children there alone.

Manley’s warrants include aggravated assault and two counts of child neglect, George said.
