Police investigate bank robbery

Suffolk police are investigating the Saturday morning robbery of the BB&T Bank branch in the 1500 block of Holland Road.

Police say that a lone male entered the bank about 9:30 a.m. Saturday, presented a note and robbed the bank of an undisclosed amount of cash. No weapon was displayed and no one was injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as a white male with a thin to medium build. He was wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans. Police believe he may have fled in a dark silver Dodge pick-up truck, 2006-2008 model.

Police have obtained photographs of the suspect from surveillance videos. Anyone who can identify the man is asked to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Callers to Crime Line never have to give their names or appear in court, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
