Woman robbed at ATM

Suffolk police are investigating a robbery that occurred Monday night at a downtown ATM.
About 10 p.m., a woman made a withdrawal at the Wachovia Bank located in the 200 block of North Main Street. Police say that as she was walking back to her vehicle, she was approached by a man who displayed a silver handgun and demanded money. The woman handed over the money and was not injured.
The suspect is described as a white male in his late 30s or early 40s, 5 feet 9 inches or 5 feet 10 inches tall, medium build with gray hair and close-cut beard and wearing dark clothing. He was last seen running away from the scene toward North Main Street.
