A man missing from Franklin was spotted in Suffolk’s Holland area on Saturday and early Sunday, Franklin police said this week.

Missing: Charlie Lee Scott Sr., 58, has been missing from his Franklin home since Saturday. He has been spotted twice in Suffolk, both in the Holland area.

Charlie Lee Scott Sr., 58, left his home in the 2200 block of South Street at 4 p.m. Saturday. He was spotted in Holland later that evening and at 1:40 a.m. Sunday, Lt. Tim Whitt of the Franklin Police said Wednesday.

Scott suffers from schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.

“The wife did not report him missing (until Monday), so he got a day and half jump on us,” Whitt said.

Police have checked hospitals and jails and sent information with Scott’s photo to the television stations to air on the news, Whitt said.

“With the heat coming up, we’re really worried about this man’s welfare,” Whitt said.

Heat indexes above 100 degrees are forecast for the rest of the week.

Whitt said he has been told that Scott has not walked off like this in the past.

Scott is 6 feet tall and weighs 186 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt, beige slacks, a beige fishing hat and flip-flops.

Anyone who may have seen him is asked to call Franklin police at 562-8575, or the nearest law enforcement agency.
