Suffolk police are looking for a man they say passed more than $500 in counterfeit bills at a local store in May.

Police have warrants on file for Adrian T. Harvey, 26, of the 200 block of Elm Avenue in Portsmouth.

Harvey allegedly used 26 counterfeit $20 bills at the North Main Street Walmart to purchase a Walmart money card, according to a press release from city spokeswoman Debbie George.

Warrants are on file for forging bank notes, uttering bank notes and possession of forged bank notes.

Anyone who has information on Harvey’s whereabouts is asked to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Callers to Crime Line never have to give their names or appear in court, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
