The Suffolk Fine Arts Commission announces the availability of grant funds for its 2011-2012 grant program. The purpose of the grant program is to increase community access to high quality art, to include, but not limited to, the visual and performing arts. The program is open to any organization or individual whose project promotes this purpose in the city of Suffolk. The commission will review all grant requests and determine the number and amount of grants to be awarded.

The Suffolk Fine Arts Commission will be receiving project grant applications for the 2011-2012 granting year through Sept. 2. Grant applications are available at the Suffolk Art Gallery, 118 Bosley Ave., Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m. You may request that an application be emailed to you by emailing nkinzinger@suffolkva.us or by calling 514-7284.

All completed grant forms must be received by Nancy Kinzinger, liaison, SFAC, Suffolk Art Gallery, 118 Bosley Ave., Suffolk, VA 23434 no later than 5 p.m. on Sept. 2, 2011. Faxed and emailed forms are not acceptable.
