Suffolk police charged a 24-year-old this weekend with 14 counts of destruction of property after more than a dozen cars in the same neighborhood had their tires slashed.

Neighbors in the Northbrooke neighborhood off Holland Road reported the vandalisms late Friday night and early Saturday morning. On some cars, only one tire was slashed. On other vehicles, all four tires were damaged.

Joshua Batchelder, 24, of the 100 block of St. Anne Ave., is charged in the crimes.
