Emmett Wilson, 61, of 300 Civil Court, Newport News, Va. died Monday, Aug. 29, 2011 at his residence. He was a native of Suffolk, Va. and the son of the late Thomas Wilson Sr. and Alae Virginia Boone.

He was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. He attended Paul D. Camp Community College, New York Institute of Photography and Commercial Technical Institute. He retired from Planters Peanuts after 38 years.

He leaves to cherish his memory: one daughter, Patrice L. Wilson, of Suffolk; two sisters, Bernice Virginia Brickhouse and Gloria Artis, both of Norfolk, Va.; two brothers, Thomas Wilson Jr. and Vernon Wilson, both of Suffolk; one grandchild, Chancee’ Wilson; other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held at noon, Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, at Carver Memorial Cemetery, officiated by the Rev. Melvin Boone. Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.crockerfuneralhome.com.
