SUFFOLK — John Thomas Bunch, 69, died Aug. 31, 2011. He was the son of the late John and Carrie Bunch. He also was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers and his lifelong partner, Gloria Ann Silverthorne.

He is survived by three sisters, Annie Pearl Admire, of Suffolk, Va., Mary Elizabeth Wyatt, of Timberville, Va., and Laura Lane of Fayetteville, N.C.; one brother William Nathaniel “Nat” Bunch, of Suffolk, Va.; 30 nieces and nephews; and one brother-in-law, John Henry Duck, and sister-in-law, Florence Stowell, both of Suffolk, Va.

Visitation will be held Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, from 1 to 2 p.m. at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk, Va., followed by a graveside service at 3 p.m. at Holly Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Stewart McCarter. Condolences may be made at www.rwbakerfh.com.
