Frederick Doughtie Spivey, 77, of 22 Bosley Road, died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011, in Duke University Hospital, Durham, N.C.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. in Damascus Christian Church by the Rev. Wayne Gardner. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main St., Gatesville, handling arrangements. Friends may join the family at the residence.
