Saints get first win

Nansemond-Suffolk’s Bobby Lamm rushed for all three Saint touchdowns as the Saints won 20-6 at Virginia Episcopal on Saturday for their first win of the season. NSA plays at Portsmouth Christian on Friday night.

The Saints ran to their first win under new head coach Lew Johnston on Saturday in Lynchburg. NSA (1-4) scored a touchdown in each of the first three periods for a 20-0 lead on the Bishops.

Senior Bobby Lamm rushed for 171 yards and all three touchdowns. Lamm led NSA’s defense with 10 tackles and made two of three extra points.

A.J. Hicks added 10 carries for 70 yards. Quarterback Tim Burns was 4-for-9 passing for 49 yards. Jared Morse and Michael Tyler Lepore had one interception each. David Gough and Ryan Serianni had one sack apiece.

The Saints play at Portsmouth Christian Friday at 7 p.m.
