A Franklin man is charged with possession of marijuana after he allegedly told the officer he and the others in the car were just studying fractions for a test.
Daniel Robert Misseri, 24, was issued a summons for possession of marijuana, city spokeswoman Debbie George said.
The officer came upon the vehicle at a location on Holland Road and “noticed the distinct odor of marijuana” coming from the vehicle, according to a police report.
The subjects allegedly told the officer they were “studying fractions for the ASVAB,” a standardized test used to determine qualification for enlistment in the U.S. military.
Misseri allegedly offered the information that he had a “blunt” in the vehicle and had been smoking it, according to the police report. It tested positive for marijuana, George said.
“It does not indicate if it was being used as a study aid,” she said.
