Time to stop the games in D.C.

To the editor:
If you or someone you know has been laid off and unable to find a job in this economic crisis, I urge you to contact your Senators and Representatives in Congress and tell them you want them to pass President Obama’s American Jobs Act.
The American Jobs Act would create jobs and help get our economy moving again. It includes measures that both Democrats and Republicans have long supported, but suddenly House Republicans are refusing to even consider it, and Eric Cantor is saying flat out he won’t let the bill come up for a vote in the House.
It is time we, the working and middle class, stand up to the political games and demand our so-called representatives do something to help us out. Tell Congress that it is long past time that they start doing something to help us out and stop giving away America to the wealthy and big business.
If we don’t stand up and fight for our rights to find a decent paying job so we can keep a roof over our family’s heads and food on the table and pay our utility bills and, in short, “live the American dream,” we have ourselves to blame.
The time for the games in Washington to stop is NOW. Call your representatives to let them now it is time they fight for US.
