SUFFOLK — Syvalius “Wolf” Walston Jr. passed away Oct. 23, 2011, at Sentara Nursing Center in Chesapeake, Va. He was the son of the late Syvalius Walston Sr. and Lillie Sharpe Walston McClenny of Nansemond County, Va.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Faulk Walston; a sister, Brenda McClenny; a stepson, Peter Dash; three godchildren, E. Rick and Felicia Copeland, and Felita Steverson; two aunts; Ann and Violene Sharpe, three stepgrandchildren, two brothers-in-law, seven sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Syvalius served honorably in the U.S. Army, was a graduate of East Suffolk High School and Elizabeth City State University. He was an educator in the Virginia Beach and Nansemond County/Suffolk Public School Systems. He was also employed at the Princess Anne Country Club in Virginia Beach.

Services will be held Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Mt Ararat Christian Church on Airport Road with Pastor H.H Murrill officiating. Burial will be at the Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested remembrances be sent to the American Cancer Society.
