Storm softball makes 2012 World Series

The 16U Southampton Storm earned a spot into the 2012 NSA World Series by finishing third in the Season Fall Finale Saturday-Sunday in Newport News. The Southampton Storm 16U Fastpitch softball team finished third and earned a berth into the 2012 National Softball Association (NSA) World Series at the Season Fall Finale last weekend in Newport News.

The Storm went 2-1 in group play, with a 4-0 victory over Team Dynasty and a 7-1 win over the James River Rage during Saturday’s play.

In the bracket rounds, the Storm beat the Williamsburg Starz 9-1 in the quarterfinals before a 2-0 loss to the Galaxy.

The Southampton Storm continues its fall season with two more tournaments in November.
