Suffolk police are searching for a suspect in a Friday night shooting.

The 28-year-old male victim reported that he was shot in the buttocks about 11:23 p.m. in the 300 block of Cedar Street, city spokeswoman Debbie George said. The injuries are not considered to be life-threatening, she added.

No suspect description is available. Anyone who has information is asked to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Callers to Crime Line never have to give their names or appear in court, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
