Suffolk Fire and Rescue extinguished a structure fire in the 600 block of Turlington Road on Monday.

The call came in at 2:06 p.m. The two-story detached garage was fully engulfed in flames upon arrival of fire units, a city spokeswoman said.

The road had been shut down in both directions, but it was reopened at 5 p.m.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. The fire marshal is investigating.
