Barbara Hardy Morse, 94, passed away at home Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, after an extended illness. Born in Providence, R.I., Barbara had lived in Millford, Conn., and Hampton, Va., before moving to live with family in Smithfield 12 years ago.

A beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Barbara leaves to cherish her memories her son, Michael Morse and his wife, Kathy; three grandchildren, Christine Davis, Kelly Morse and Michael P. Morse; four great-grandchildren, Keith Johnson, Patrick Davis, Emma Morse and Elaina Morse; and a host of nieces and nephews to include a “special” niece, Marcia Matika, and extended family.

A service celebrating Barbara’s life will be held 6:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 7, in Colonial Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jarvis Hearn officiating. Burial will be private and at a later date in Rhode Island. The family will receive friends following the service.
