Suffolk Fire and Rescue responded to a house fire in the 600 block of First Avenue on Sunday morning.

The call came in at about 10:08 a.m., according to Diana Klink, a city spokeswoman. The blaze in the vacant house was quickly brought under control, she said.

The Suffolk Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire. No other information was available.
