A dense fog has descended on the area and could hang around through the morning commute, the National Weather Service predicts.

The weather service office in Wakefield said the fog would dissipate before 8 a.m. Early motorists should allow a little extra time for their travels.

Those who cannot postpone their trips until after the fog disappears should drive slowly, keep extra distance between themselves and the car in front of them, and avoid using their high beams.
