A King’s Fork High School student faces expulsion after bringing three knives to school.

The incident took place Monday when a knife fell out of the female 12th-grader’s backpack in the gym, and another student reported it, according to schools spokeswoman Bethanne Bradshaw.

An administrator found three knives with blades more than three inches long in the 18-year-old’s backpack, city spokeswoman Debbie George said.

Bradshaw said no one was threatened, and the school resource officer was notified.

The student was suspended and is recommended for expulsion. George said there is a pending charge for possession of a weapon on school property.
