The Suffolk Fire Marshal’s Office is seeking information on a possible arson that happened Thursday.

Just after 4 p.m., police and fire units were dispatched to the 600 block of First Avenue for a report of fire at a vacant single-family home. It was quickly brought under control.

Anyone who has information is asked to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Callers to Crime Line never have to give their names or appear in court, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
