A Nansemond River High School student is being recommended for expulsion after being caught with a box cutter on school property.
Schools spokeswoman Bethanne Bradshaw said the box cutter was found on the 18-year-old junior Tuesday by administrators who performed a search after they received an anonymous tip from someone in the building.
She said the student didn’t threaten anyone with the box cutter and has been suspended and is being recommended for expulsion.
