Charles Edwin Peebles, 68, passed away on Dec. 2, 2011, at Sentara Norfolk General.

He was the son of the late Mildred and Joseph S. Peebles. He was predeceased by his brother David Lee Peebles.

Charles loved to play golf and goofing off with his golfing buddies. He also had a love of raising and training hunting dogs.

He is survived by the love of his life Marilyn, his son, Brandon Myles Peebles, and wife, Jennifer, of Greenville, N.C.; grandchildren, Bailor Myles and Emery Grace Peebles; sister, Karen Pearce, and husband Burt of Suffolk; and his four-legged companion, Buddy.

The family will receive friends Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011, from 4 to 5:30 p.m., in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Condolences may be registered at www.rwbakerfh.com.
