Joseph “Bubba” Webster Vann, 31, passed away Dec. 2, 2011. He was born in Suffolk, Va., the son of Bessie Bradshaw Vann and the late Joe Payne Vann. He was well known at the Northeast Dragway in Hertford, N.C.

He is survived by his mother, Bessie B. Vann; sisters, Nancy V. Varner, Ann V. Tolbert and Patricia Vann; “Daddy Uncle Bubba” kids, Victoria, Victor, Hope, Ashlyn and Diego.

A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with the Rev. Trey Hudson officiating. A time of visitation will follow the service at the funeral home and other times at the residence of Bessie Vann. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
