A pizza delivery driver was robbed Saturday night when he made a delivery in a neighborhood off East Washington Street.

The man was approached by two suspects after he delivered the food in the 200 block of Oak Street about 9:30 p.m., city spokeswoman Debbie George said.

One suspect produced a handgun and demanded money, she said. After handing over a small amount of money, the victim fled in his vehicle.

Both suspects are described as black males wearing dark clothing and items of clothing over their faces.

George said it is unknown so far whether the food was a legitimate order or a set-up for the robbery.
