SUFFOLK — Louise Stokes Anderson, 88, died Dec. 14, 2011. A native of Ahoskie, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Mattie A. and Lillian Stokes. She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Douglas Anderson, two sisters, Elizabeth Askew and Virginia Williams, brother, Lewis Stokes, aunt, Thelma Odom, and uncle, Paul B. Odom.

Survivors include her husband, Everette “Andy” W. Anderson and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Anderson was a member of West End Baptist Church, Eastern Star Sinai Chapter No. 18. She retired as a financial analyst in 1978 for the National Air and Space Administration.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 4 p.m. in West End Baptist Church by the Rev. T. Floyd Irby, Dr. Chester Brown and the Rev. P.W. Parker, with burial in Scottsville Cemetery, Scottsville, Va., Monday, Dec. 19, 2011, at 1 p.m. Viewing will be at the church Sunday at 3 p.m. until the service time.
