Mr. and Mrs. David B. Osborn of Norfolk announce the engagement of their daughter, Rebecca, to Capt. J.B. Persons, son of Dr. and Mrs. Jeffrey B. Persons, of Suffolk. 

Ms. Osborn is a graduate of Granby High School and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Old Dominion University in December.

Capt. Persons is a graduate of Nansemond Suffolk Academy and received his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2006.

A fall wedding is planned.
