Man wanted in NYE robbery, assault

Suffolk police are asking for help from the public in finding a man who assaulted and robbed the owner of a sandwich shop on Hall Avenue on New Year’s Eve.
According to police reports, a man entered Jenny’s Old Fashioned Burgers, located at 107 Hall Ave., at about 4:40 p.m. on Dec. 31 and ordered a sandwich. Before he left the restaurant, the suspect punched the owner in the face, dragged her into the kitchen and demanded money.
After he took change from a nearby counter, the man fled on foot, headed westbound toward Saratoga Street.
The suspect is described as a black male, 16-22 years old, about 5’5”, with a thin face and medium complexion, and wearing a light beige jacket, blue overalls and a blue skull cap.
