Pamela Olivia Joyner of 556 Osceola Ave., Suffolk, departed this earthly life on Jan. 1, 2012, in Sentara Obici Hospital.

She was predeceased by her parents, James Joyner and Dwillar Parker Joyner.

Ms. Joyner leaves to cherish her memory, two brothers, the Rev. James A. Hunter of New York and Travis Parker of Suffolk; five aunts, Emma Winfield of Courtland, Helena Joyner and Gladys Parker of Suffolk, Katherine Parker of New York, and a special loving aunt, Ella M. Myrick of Suffolk; one great-aunt, Henrietta Mason of Suffolk; three uncles, Douglas Parker (Hazel) of Charleston, S.C., Louis Parker (Johnny Bell) of Suffolk, and a special uncle, Datha M. Parker (Gwendolyn) of Chesterfield.

She will be lovingly missed by her niece, Lydia Hunter of New York; four special cousins Jennifer Parker, Fay Parker and Shawn Parker, all of Suffolk, and Richard C. Parker Jr. (Katrina) of Greenville, S.C.

She will also be missed by her special friends, Paula Woodruff, Charlene Banks Jones and Arthaniel Bailey, along with her godchildren, Corey Banks, Charnelle Banks and Davina Woodruff and a host of other loving nieces, nephews , cousins  and friends.

A Funeral of Triumph will be held on Friday, Jan. 6, 2012, at noon at East End Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Mark A. Croston officiating. Interment will be at Carver Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
