Chargers win on the road

Isle of Wight turned a long Metro Conference road trip into a victory Wednesday night, beating Broadwater 67-59 in Exmore on the Eastern Shore.

Broadwater led 15-12 after a quarter. The Chargers fought back to take a 28-23 lead by halftime and a 51-39 advantage through three periods.

Junior center Nathan Sivertson led IWA with 21 points. Senior forward Josh Thomas added 11 points.

Isle of Wight (9-4, 4-2) plays next at Alliance Christian on Monday evening.
