The Norfolk Tides have announced a contest in which three local Little League fields will be renovated by Tides groundskeepers and front office staff. This field makeover will include an upgrade to the playing surface and an improvement to existing dugouts.

“This is an exciting opportunity for the Tides to give back to the Hampton Roads community,” Tides General Manager Joe Gregory said. “Little league baseball is a fantastic way for children to learn the joys of the game of baseball, while participating in an activity that is both healthy and fun.”

Those interested in having the Tides make over their field should submit a picture of their field and a short letter explaining why their league should receive this enhancement.

This information should be emailed to Heather McKeating at hmckeating@norfolktides.com by Feb. 15. The recipients of the makeover will be determined by a fan vote on the Tides Facebook page.
