Sean Pierce and Wanda Riddick have announced their engagement.

Sean was born and raised in Detroit, Mich., and graduated in 1986 from Persing High School. His parents are Rome and Lillie Kendrick.

Wanda was born and raised in Suffolk and graduated in 1997 from Nansemond River High School. Her parents are Wendy and Bobby Spellman.

A wedding is planned for April 14, 2012, at 2 p.m. with a reception to follow.
