Sherry Marie Burke Thrasher, 56, of Suffolk, passed away Jan. 16, 2012. She was born in Manassas, Va., to Margaret Ruth England Burke and the late Roger Earl Burke. Sherry worked as a LPN for Bon Secours Hospice.

In addition to her mother, Sherry is survived by her husband of 35 years, Jean Joel Thrasher; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa Thrasher Dunkley and Charles Edward Dunkley, of Suffolk, Va.; son, Jason Andrew Thrasher, of Richmond, Va.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Everett and Marie Burke, of Bealeton, Va., and Ronald and Nona Burke, of Fort Wheeler, Texas.

A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434 with the Rev. Reggie Warren officiating.
