Police seek card thieves

The Suffolk Police Department is seeking assistance from the public identifying two suspects in the theft and usage of two stolen credit cards.

On the morning of Jan. 3, 2012, separate incidents were reported in the 2700 block of Godwin Boulevard where personal items, including credit cards, were stolen from unlocked vehicles.

Both of the stolen cards were used for purchases that same day totaling more than $3,500 at various locations in Franklin, including Walmart, Belk, Walgreens and Advance Auto Parts.

Police obtained video surveillance showing the same two suspects at each location.

One suspect is described as a light-skinned black male with what appears to be a full beard wearing khaki pants, a striped shirt, tan jacket and a snow hat with ear flaps.

The second suspect is described as a dark-skinned black male wearing light-colored pants, a dark jacket with light-colored hood, and a dark-colored stocking cap.

Anyone who has information is asked to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Callers to Crime Line never have to give their names or appear in court, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
