Willie Theodore Wilson Jr., 64, of 418 Culloden St., Suffolk, Va., died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012 at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was a native of Norfolk County and the son of the late Willie Theodore Wilson Sr. and Orlean Littlejohn Wilson. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Gloria Finch and Alberta Jones.

He was a graduate of Crestwood High School and received a B.A. degree from Norfolk State University. He furthered his education at the College of William and Mary and Purdue University. He retired from the Commonwealth of Virginia. He received several medals while in the U.S. Army: U.S. Army Commendation, Vietnam SVC, National Defense, Vietnam Campaign Expert. He was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church, where he was the church treasurer, Trustee Emeritus and an usher. He was a member of the Bachelor Benedict Social Club.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Loretta J. Wilson; one son, Willie T. Brimage, of Portsmouth, Va.; one daughter, Latoya C. Savage, of Suffolk; two brothers, Wallace S. Wilson (Lois), of Portsmouth, and Wilmer S. Wilson (Josephine), of San Antonio, Texas; mother-in-law, Helena S. Joyner, of Suffolk; six sisters-in-law and six brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at New Calvary Baptist Church, 220 N. 6th St., Suffolk, officiated by the Rev. Roger Green. Interment will be in Albert G.
