A former church employee accused of sex crimes with one of the youth in the church was indicted by a Suffolk grand jury on Monday.
The grand jury indicted 43 defendants on 118 charges.
Elizabeth Lee Beckett, 23, was indicated on eight counts of indecent liberties with a child after the alleged acts with a member of the youth group at Bethel Temple Assembly of God in Hampton.
According to prosecutor Nicole Belote, Beckett was employed with the church and also knew the family outside of church. They allowed her into their Suffolk home to watch the children, which is where the alleged acts occurred, Belote said.
She is accused of exposing herself to the teen, engaging in oral sex with him, fondling him and having him fondle her when he was between the ages of 13 and 16.
Belote said the two allegedly also “came very close to having sexual intercourse” before the boy stopped her.
