Police are following leads on a bullet that entered a home about 5:40 p.m. on Friday and nearly struck the occupants.
The victims, who live in the 700 block of Manning Bridge Road, told police they were in their house when a bullet went through two panes of glass and came to rest on the floor between the living room and kitchen.
The family reported hearing shooting all day long, city spokeswoman Debbie George said. Investigators are following leads and believe the shot was fired from the woods line, she said.
Manning Bridge Road is a somewhat rural area of the city, George said, so it is possible the bullet came from a hunter.
“There’s no indication they were intentionally firing at this house,” she said.
