“Our new state-of-the-art roaster will not only increase our capacity, but will further build our capability to provide the highest quality coffee to our customers,” said Chuck Gosstrom, senior vice president of operations.
In addition to the new roaster, the Suffolk plant also will get new manufacturing machinery, new packing equipment and facility upgrades. All of the company’s business, including retail and food service, stands to benefit from the expansion, according to the press release.
The company produces nationally recognized retail brands including Chock full o’Nuts, Hills Bros., Segafredo Zanetti, MJB and Chase and Sanborn. It also produces proprietary and private-label coffee, tea and drink mix for customers around the world.
“We congratulate Massimo Zanetti on this expansion, and we look forward to seeing these new product lines develop and grow,” Suffolk Mayor Linda T. Johnson said in the press release. “Food and beverage processing is an important target industry for Suffolk’s economy, and this latest development speaks to the pro-business environment we have cultivated in Suffolk to assist this industry to grow and prosper.”
