A 19-year-old Suffolk man is charged with multiple crimes after police say he had sexual relations with a 14-year-old girl.

Luther Pierre is charged with carnal knowledge of a child, crimes against nature, indecent liberties and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, city spokeswoman Debbie George said.

Police say Pierre met the young girl on a social networking site and later met her in person twice. They allegedly engaged in sexual conduct in a vehicle on Jackson Road, George said.

The girl told the suspect she was 17, George added.
