SUFFOLK — Michael Patrick Galiney, 55, of the 4600 block of Schooner Boulevard, passed away Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, in his residence. A native of Alaska, he was a son of the late Francis R. and Ann Marie Galiney, of Portsmouth. He was a 1974 graduate of Churchland High School and attended Tidewater Community College. He worked for his family’s business, Miracle Lanes and Portsmouth Bowl, in Portsmouth. He also worked for Mellow Buttercup and Food Lion grocery stores.

Survivors include two brothers, Lawrence and John Galiney, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennett’s Creek chapel, by the Rev. Scott Benson. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com.
