Two Suffolk teenagers are facing 54 criminal charges after police say they threw rocks at cars traveling on Wilroy Road this weekend.
Motorists began calling police just before 6:30 p.m. on Friday to report someone had thrown rocks at their vehicles as they drove on Wilroy Road.
The incidents continued until about 9:15 p.m. and began again on Saturday about 1:30 p.m.
The last one occurred just before 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, when police tracked down the two juveniles on the railroad tracks that run parallel to the road.
A 16-year-old and a 14-year-old each are charged with 18 felony counts of throwing missiles at an occupied vehicle, 18 counts of misdemeanor vandalism and 18 counts of trespassing on railroad tracks.
No one was injured during the incidents, but at least two windshields were smashed by the projectile, according to police reports.
