Regarding the issue of whether to allow cross-dressing in Suffolk high schools, I wanted to offer my perspective.

I live near Suffolk now and, for a while, did live in Suffolk.

People in Suffolk are, as a whole, good people, just misguided on this subject. Unfortunately they, like most people, are most afraid of what they don’t understand.

I wish there were some way to educate the educators. So many do not understand personal expression and want to make issues of it where there is nothing more than teens learning to identify with themselves.

There are so many real issues in our schools, such as bullying and drugs, and this is where the real attention should be turned. The kids have enough pressure growing up to have their freedom of expression limited, no matter how well intentioned.
