SUFFOLK — Richard Allen Reid, 76, of Suffolk, passed away Feb. 19, 2012, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He was born in Suffolk and was son of the late Admon and Rebecca S. Reid and was also preceded in death by three brothers, Jonah Reid, Beverly Skeeter and Roy Reid.

He was a member of Antioch United Church of Christ.

He leaves to cherish his memory three sisters, Debra Ricks, of Washington, D.C., Clara A. Reid, of Norfolk, and Vivian Jubray, of Suffolk; three brothers, P. Calvin Reid, of Queens, N.Y., Andrew Reid (Adele), of Washington, D.C., and Fulcher Reid (Ina), of Chesapeake; a sister-in-law, Daisy Reid; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at noon, Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, and will be officiated by the Rev. Jarvis Jones at Antioch United Church of Christ, 900 Hull St., Suffolk.
