Bobby Darnell Skeeter, 49, of 232 Abingdon Circle, Suffolk, Va., died Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was a native of Nansemond County and the son of Aubrey Skeeter and Lorraine Brinkley Skeeter.

He was a 1981 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. He received an associate degree in telecommunication from ECPI. He was a former employee at Sara Lee as a blender. He was a member of Mt. Ararat Christian Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Karen Skeeter; two daughters, Damecia Skeeter and Dominiqua Skeeter; one sister, Donna Lewter (Ronald), of Suffolk; one brother, Fritz Skeeter (Darlene), of Suffolk; one grandchild, Derrion Rountree; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

A funeral service will be held at noon, Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Mt. Ararat Christian Church, officiated by the Rev. Renee Reid. Interment will be in Carver Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.crockerfuneralhome.com.
