Winter weather on its way

Winter weather is on its way to Suffolk tonight and Monday.
The National Weather Service was calling for snow on Monday until noon, followed by rain. Little to no snow accumulation was expected.
Though an alert had yet to be issued for Suffolk as of 6:20 p.m., localities west of the city were under a winter weather advisory, which called for decreased visibility on roads and mild accumulation on areas such as bridges and overpasses.
Motorists are advised to give themselves extra time to get to their destination and to use caution while driving.
