Four Suffolk Public Schools facilities are without phone service today after construction workers accidentally cut a phone line on Tuesday.

Phone service to Forest Glen Middle School, Lakeland High School, the food services department and the transportation department is out.

Verizon repair crews are working to restore service, division spokeswoman Bethanne Bradshaw said.

If parents need to reach a school or department, they can call the central office at 925-6750 and be transferred to those facilities by internal phone extension, Bradshaw said.

Staff at the buildings can use extensions to ask the central office to help them make outside calls.

Email service has not been affected, Bradshaw added.
