Sleepy Hole borough residents and other Suffolk citizens have a chance to find out more about what’s going on in the city on Wednesday.

A town hall meeting with Councilman Robert Barclay has been set for Wednesday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Northern Shores Elementary Joint Use Facility, 6701 Respass Beach Road. The meeting is open to the public.

It is the second town hall meeting Barclay has hosted. He also held one about two years ago to introduce the new North Suffolk Neighborhood Enforcement Team.

“This is going to be more broadly focused,” Barclay said.

City staff will give reports on projects in the area and other items of interest, including Public Utilities and Public Works projects, crime statistics from the police department, economic development initiatives, Parks and Recreation facilities that are available and more.

“A lot of the things that go on in the city, people don’t necessarily get an opportunity to hear about,” Barclay said. “This is a good forum to get that information out the public.”

This is the second town hall meeting in two months. One held in Chuckatuck in January with Councilman Mike Duman drew about 80 visitors.

“I encourage people to attend,” Barclay said.
